Attention: Parents of 7 - 12 year olds on the spectrum.

We are planning to organize a group similar to our teen social for younger children . It will also meet second Thursdays 6:30 - 8:00 PM at the North Highland Church.  If you are interested in helping plan, please email us autismhopecenterllp@gmail.com or call Diane Pope at 706-604-6333. when we have finalized the start date we will notify you that registration forms are available on the website.

When Words Hurt


   Sooner or later every parent of a child with autism hears words that criticize their child, parenting and life whether it be from family, friends, school personnel or strangers.  May Institute offers a two-part article in Exceptional Parent magazine that offers strategies on how to turn potentially hurtful experiences into opportunities for greater understanding and increased support for the special needs community
